Conflict diamonds are diamonds that originate from areas controlled by forces or factions opposed to legitimate and internationally recognized governments. The money generated from these conflict diamonds is used to fund military action in opposition to those governments, or in contravention of the decisions of the Security Council. They are also known as blood diamonds, used by rebel groups to fuel conflict and civil wars. Conflict diamonds have funded many brutal conflicts in Africa resulting in the death and displacement of millions of innocent people. The terrorist groups use these conflict diamonds to finance their activities and for money-laundering purposes.

The campaign to combat conflict diamonds is undertaken by the government-run Kimberley Process Diamond Certification Scheme. This process is followed by many countries, to ensure the legitimacy of the diamonds production processes. We do not purchase diamonds from the countries that do not follow the Kimberly process. All the diamonds sold at our site are conflict free; we do not sell conflict diamonds.

a) we get in writing from each and every vendor that the diamond supplied to us is conflict free.
b) we check each vendors conflict free policy to ensure that they are in compliant.
c) we do not buy from countries who do not follow the kimberly process.
d) we ensure that each vendor is AML complaint.. AML stands for Anti-Money-Laundering complaint.
